THE air ambulance has been called to a serious crash on the A59 this afternoon (Tuesday).
The crash involved a Mercedes lorry and Vauxhall Vivaro van and happened just after noon.
A man, believed to be in his 20s, has been injured, a spokeswoman for the ambulance service said.
She said there were two casualties with one person trapped inside the lorry.
It is unclear whether the person trapped is the man in his 20s.
One patient has now been taken to Airedale Hospital by ambulance.
Road closures were in place and the air ambulance was at the scene.
But Lancashire Road Police have since tweeted the road is re-open
Initial reports suggested the crash was in Skipton Road, Barnoldswick.
