A MANCHESTER fundraising event at an Indian restaurant has raised more than £700 for charity.
More than 50 people came along to support the event at the Royal Taj in Langho to raise money for the victims and families of the recent Manchester terrorist attack.
Entertainment was provided by Geno and Hayley Eccles who appeared on “The Voice”whilst customers enjoyed an Indian buffet.
A fundraising raffle and auction was also held.
Kash and Rebel, managers of the Royal Taj, said : “Like everyone in the community we felt we wanted to do something which brought everyone together and also helped the fundraising campaign.
"Our restaurant donated £5 from each meal on the night and this combined with income from the raffle and auction raised £722.”
Local businesses and customers who donated raffle prizes and staff from Bolton Wanderers donated signed football memorabilia for the auction.
