A RIBBLE Valley care home has made improvements after concerns were raised about the management of medicine and infection control practices.
Riverside Care Centre in Sawley was rated 'good' by health watchdog the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
Inspectors found the service was safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led following an unannounced inspection.
The centre provides support and accommodation for up to 40 people, most of whom are living with dementia.
It was found during a previous inspection in 2015 that the care home was not meeting legal requirements, however inspectors said it was now meeting current regulations.
The CQC report said: "People and their relatives told us they did not have any concerns about the way they were cared for. They told us they felt safe and well cared for.
"Staff could describe the action they would take if they witnessed or suspected any abusive or neglectful practice.
"People considered there were enough suitably skilled staff to support them when they needed any help and they received support in a timely and unhurried way.
"Arrangements were in place to make sure staff were trained and supervised.
"Medicines were managed safely and people had their medicines when they needed them.
"We found people lived in a clean, comfortable and well maintained environment."
Inspectors added each person had a detailed care plan, staff were respectful and kind and the atmosphere was happy and relaxed.
