INVESTIGATIONS are underway after two suspected arson attacks on vehicles in East Lancashire last night.
In the first incident, in Whins Lane, Simonstone, firefighters from Padiham and Hyndburn stations were alerted to a car on fire just before 9.30pm last night.

A Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: "The fire is believed to have been started deliberately and the police have been notified. There were no casualties."
And just before 2.30am, firefighters from Burnley were called out to two cars which it is believed may have been deliberately torched in Upper Brook Court, off Greenbrook Road, Lowerhouse, Burnley.
Fire chiefs have confirmed that the second incident has also been reported to police for further enquiries to be made.
