A DRIVER was airlifted to hospital after his car flipped over on a road near Clitheroe.
The 45-year-old was travelling along the A59 at Sawley when he lost control of his Volkswagen Golf which rolled over several times, ending up on its roof.
The man was freed from his vehicle by firefighters and airlifted to the Royal Preston Hospital at around 10.27am on Friday.
Several police cars and fire crews from Clitheroe and Barnoldswick attended.
The man's injuries were not believed to be life-threatening, said police.
