HUNDREDS of Clitheroe residents were left without power this morning for more than two hours.

A failure of overhead power lines in the Ribble Valley town shut the power supply off to 600 homes from 10.30am to 1pm.

A spokeswoman for Electricity North West said that engineers fixed the fault after receiving a number of calls from affected residents.
