FIREFIGHTERS are studying CCTV in a bid to identify arsonists who set a fire in public toilets in Clitheroe.
In a busy evening for crews on Sunday, they also helped recover a car from flooding and put out a bonfire .
Firefighters from Clitheroe Station were first called out to Clitheroe Castle where the bonfire had been re-lit.
When they had extinguished that they were told a fire had been started in the toilet block in the castle grounds. Once there, firefighters discovered a number of toilet rolls had been set alight. The fire caused smoke damage to the male toilets and melted a toilet roll holder.
Crews were then called to Waddington Road, Clitheroe, where a car was stuck in a metre of water. They used a portable pump to disperse the flood water.
Firefighters were also called out to flooding at The Emporium in Moor Lane, Clitheroe.
