A SERIES of free draught proofing workshops are due to be staged in the Ribble Valley next month.

Andrew Northcott, from Cumbria Action for Sustainability, will deliver a workshop to show practical, cost effective methods as well as advice on a warmer, healthier and cosier home.

A spokesman said: "In just two hours you'll find out how to detect draughts, look at ventilation and dampness, and learn how to select and fit the most effective products including window seals, door seals, chimney balloons, and radiator reflector panels."

A workshop for professionals will be held at the council chambers in Church Street, Clitheroe, from noon on Thursday, July 2.

Another workshop for the public will be held at Slaidburn Village Hall from 10am on the same day.

Chipping Village Hall will host a session from 10am on Tuesday, July 7, and the final workshop will be hosted by Park House in Towneley Avenue, Longridge, from 2pm later that day.
