A RIBBLE Valley gallery selling original arts and crafts is staging an opening weekend on July 4 and 5.

The Gallery at Brockholes, run by the Art and Craft Guild of Lancashire, features a mix of fine art, photography, textiles, jewellery, ceramics and wood.

The guild has moved from Burscough Wharf and it will now run courses and exhibitions, giving members and emerging artists the opportunity to launch their careers under a professional spotlight.

Kath Knight, general manager at Brockholes, said: “We have been delighted to welcome The Gallery at Brockholes on board. We always strive to help local businesses and we feel this adds yet another exciting feature for our visitors to enjoy.”

Jane Bell from the guild said that after a few years at The Wharf in Burscough, it was felt time to move on.

She said: "Brockholes has more space for members to show their work and is in a top location for customers.

"We have many loyal customers in the region and we thank them for their support over the years and during the move.”
