MEMBERS of the Rotary Club of Ribblesdale are raising funds to help care for the patients of East Lancashire Hospice by organising a Ribble Valley Pub Walk.
It will take place at 10am on Saturday, June 6, starting with registration at the Foxfields Hotel in Billington. The 10-mile route takes in pubs along the way, but for those who would prefer a shorter route, there is a five-mile option.
Rotary Club member and pub walk organiser Barry Wood commented: “ The Rotary Club is committed to helping local charities and we are extremely pleased that the pub walk is already attracting a lot of interest that will help us to raise the money needed for East Lancashire Hospice.
“Half of the £10 registration fee will be distributed by the Rotary Club Charities and the other half and all sponsor monies raised from the walk will help the people within our local community who are being cared for by the hospice.”
