PREPARATIONS are well under way for this year’s Clitheroe Food Festival.

Food enthusiasts will descend on the Ribble Valley town early next month for the festival of local food produce.

Chefs will give demonstrations and there will be tasting sessions plus entertainment.

More than 100 producers will take centre stage at the event, all using local ingredients and many also work with each other to add to the quality.

All participating professional and highly acclaimed chefs hail from Lancashire.

Each will offer visitors the chance to watch first class cookery demonstrations and tastings throughout the day.

The festival will be held on Saturday, August 9 from 10am to 5pm.

Admission is free, although there may be a charge for some demonstrations and tasting sessions.
