WHALLEY Parish Council’s precept for this financial year has been increased by almost one per cent compared to last year.
The council has £31,878 to spend on .various responsibilities and projects for the good of the parish and residents’.
The precept has increased by 0.94 from the last financial year but has increased at a below-inflation rate for five years in a row.
The parish council has said that it considers the amount to be ‘more than reasonable for a parish our size and diversity’.
During the last financial year, the parish council received £31,580 from Ribble Valley Borough Council.
