Sheep, cattle, llamas and working sheepdogs were just some of the animals on display at the annual Trawden Show yesterday.

The show, one of the highlights of Lancashire's agricultural calendar, was originally launched in 1925.

The event kicked off at 10am with a Black Rock llamas display where the animals were escorted by a member of the crowd and were asked to negotiate an obstacle course including jumps, slalom poles and even tunnels in their bid to become supreme llama agility champion.

There was also an animal blessing, vintage vehicle parade and terrier racing.

It was organised by Trawden and District Agricultural Society and was held on a 20-acre site on and around the village recreation ground.

Exhibits included poultry, rabbits, caged birds, horticulture and rural crafts.
