Hurt Pendle motocross rider airlifted to hospital

A MOTOCROSS rider was airlifted to hospital after an accident on farmland over the weekend.
The 27-year-old suffered back injuries in an incident at Cowfield Farm, Burnley Road, Trawden, just before 3pm on Saturday.
Paramedics treated the casualty at the scene before the North West Air Ambulance was called out to the isolated location.
A NWAA spokesman said the man was transferred within seven minutes to the Royal Blackburn Hospital for treatment.
