Overhaul for historic Reedley courthouse

ANOTHER major overhaul is in progress for one of East Lancashire’s most historic courthouses.

Work is ongoing to convert the waiting room at the Reedley complex, in Colne Road, into offices for staff.

The next phase of the project will see new waiting facilities created on the first floor of the main building.

One of the three upstairs courtrooms will be relocated to the ground floor, where there are currently offices.

Several staff are set to be transferred from Reedley to the Burnley courthouse in Parker Lane.
