A DECISION on plans to convert the second and third floor of Lomeshaye Bridge Mill into training offices and add eight parking spaces will be made today.

The proposals involve converting the mill in Bridge Mill Road, Nelson, to be used as a training facility for electrical smart meter installation.

The building is used by a range of businesses including a carpet fitting company and a motorcycle and scooter engineering centre.

Several letters were sent to Pendle Council objecting to the application on the grounds of unsuitable parking spaces and concerns of increased traffic.

The proposals will be discussed at a Nelson Committee meeting at the Nelson Town Hall in Market Square.

Nelson residents are welcome to oversee the decision from the public gallery.
