DOG owners have been urged to stay within the law and to take good care of their pets.
Pendle Council have teamed up with Dogs Trust to create a series of free microchipping events across Pendle.
The sessions will include a check your chip service, a basic health check by a vet and free nail clipping plus advice on keeping your dog healthy.
Dog Warden Laura Robinson said: “Microchipping a dog is a permanent way of identifying your pet if they get lost.
“A microchip is the size of a grain of rice under the dog’s skin and when a dog goes missing we can scan the microchip and get them home safely."
The next event is at Victoria Park Pavilion, on Carr Road, Nelson next Monday from 11am to 3pm.
