AN investigation is underway into the cause of a house fire where it was suspected someone was trapped inside.
Three crews attended the blaze in Crawford Street in Nelson at around 3.35pm but found nobody in the property
Firefighters then extinguished the blaze using two hosereels and one hydrant jet.
They were called to the house by a concerned neighbour who dialled 999.
A fire service spokesman said: "There was just damage to the upstairs of the property and some smoke damage.
"An investigation into the cause of the fire has begun.
"There was no injuries in the blaze."
