A DRUGS search by police has uncovered a cannabis farm.
Officers said 12 mature plants and one large bag of the drug was found at a property in Lee Road, Nelson.
The drugs warrant was carried out under the Misuse of Drugs Act and took place on Wednesday.
The property also had a variety of drug cultivation equipment which was all seized by police.
A police spokesman said: “The warrant took place at an address in the Bradley Ward area and we have had a positive result.
“The bag found looks like it was all ready to be sold.
“The neighbourhood team certainly hit the jackpot.
“We had been acting on community intelligence in investigating the property and looking to carry out the search warrant.”
The search was carried out around 11am.
Police said the the property was empty when the search was carried out.
Officers said enquires are now ongoing to try and find the person who owns the property.
