CIRCUS organisers have rubbished rumours that an event in Nelson has been cancelled.

The team behind Circus Funtasia, which will be held in Carr Road this week, have had customers contacting them worried the show has been pulled but bosses have stressed this is not the case.

The show will be going ahead as planned and any advance tickets which have been purchased are still valid.

The circus will run from today until Sunday and will feature motorcycle riders, juggling, tight-rope walking, roller-skating, acrobats and more.

Performances today, Thursday and Friday will be at 5pm and 7.30pm.

On Saturday they will be at 2pm and 5pm and on Sunday they will be at noon and 3pm.

Founder and ring mistress Tracy Jones said: “Our talented acrobats Duo Stefaneli are back, with two dramatic gravity-defying performances.

“And we welcome Duo Peris, all the way from Spain, who will be wowing audiences with their incredible roller-skating act and aerial feats.”

Tickets are £7 or family tickets are available from £25.

They can be purchased at www.circusfantasia.co.uk or call 07706 168507.

There will be on site parking.
