Driver escapes virtually unharmed after collision with HGV
A DRIVER escaped virtually unharmed after his car went out of control and collided with a parked HGV in Nelson.
The incident happened at around 6.20pm this evening when the silver BMW sport convertible went out of control on Regent Street police said.
A 23-year-old man from Nelson received a minor injury and was arrested at the scene on suspicion of motoring offences. He is currently in police custody.
Both vehicles were heavily damaged in the incident, said police.
