TWO teenagers who attend Sanderson’s Dance School in Nelson have won a top dancing competition.

Georgia Dean, from Oswaldtwistle, and Charlotte Green, from Burnley, both 13, became the junior all-girl ballroom champions at Stars of the Future 2015 at Brentwood International Centre in Essex.

The girls have been dancing together since they were seven under the tuition of three different teachers.

Over the years they have won a variety of competitions.

Lucy Dean, Georgia’s proud mum, said: “We’re so proud of what the girls have achieved and they’ve come an awful long way.

“They can be quite grumpy girls.

“They’re like sisters when they’re together, so they do especially well because of that. All the teachers they have had are fabulous and they have worked so hard to have got to where they are now.”

In the past the girls have been British juvenile all-girl classical sequence champions at Blackpool Winter Gardens, United Kingdom classical sequence champions 2014 in Walsall and stars of the future juvenile all girl ballroom champions in Essex in 2013.

In April this year they also became 12/13 years classical sequence British champions again at Blackpool Winter Gardens.
