POLICE officers in Nelson are appealing for witnesses after a 73-year-old man died following a collision in a supermarket car park yesterday.
The man was driving a blue Honda Jazz car into the Nelson Morrisons car park at around 10:45am on Monday when his vehicle collided with a fixed billboard.
The driver was taken to Royal Blackburn Hospital where he sadly later died.
Police are investigating the circumstances around the driver’s death following this minor collision.
PS Dave Hogarth from East Division Road Policing said: “At this time, we are trying to establish what has happened to the man that has proved fatal and so I would ask anyone who may have witnessed this accident to come forward and speak to us.”
