A TEENAGER who went missing two weeks ago is being urged to contact police.

Police became concerned for the welfare of Nathan Bolton, 14, when he went missing after leaving home to visit friends in Burnley on April 2.

The Nelson schoolboy, who has never been away from home this long before, was due to return at 9pm.

Nathan is described as being of slim build, brown eyes and short straight dark brown hair.

He is believed to have been wearing a dark hooded top, white tracksuit pants and trainers.

Detective Inspector, Sion Hall, said: "It is now 15 days since Nathan went missing and the only contact from Nathan has been made to one family member but has refused to come home.

"Nathan's family are clearly very worried and keen to know he is safe and keen for him to return home.

"If Nathan himself sees of hears our appeal then I would urge him to make contact with us.

"I would also urge anyone who may have seen Nathan or know of his current whereabouts to come forward."

Friends and family members have reported sightings of Nathan in the Stoops on a number of occasions, the last occasion being on April 13.

Police believe Nathan has connections with the Stoops area.

Anyone with any information which could help the investigation is urged to contact Burnley Police on 01282 425001.
