A NEW village youth club has opened thanks to community grants.
More than £4,000 has been donated for Foulridge Youth Club, by organisations including village firm Westons EU Ltd, Foulridge Parish Council and Lancashire Police, and more is expected from Pendle Council.
The cash has been spent on kitting out the hall at St Michael and All Angels' Church, Skipton Road, with laptops, a mixing desk, a Nintendo Wii and snooker tables.
Foulridge's Community Beat Manager PC Mark Whitehead said: "Thank you to everyone who has donated money.
"People have shown a lot of enthusiasm, and I'm sure the youth club will go from strength to strength."
The club will open every Monday at the church hall, from 6 to 9pm.
