Pendle restaurant closes unexpectedly

VOLUNTARY CLOSURE Barocco’s Italian Restaurant & Wine Bar, in Cuckstool Lane VOLUNTARY CLOSURE Barocco’s Italian Restaurant & Wine Bar, in Cuckstool Lane

AN Italian restaurant has closed unexpectedly after having its water supply cut off.

The owners of Barocco’s Italian Restaurant & Wine Bar, in Cuckstool Lane, Fence, were told to cease trading by Pendle Council’s environmental health officers on Friday.

It is understood the water supply was switched off due to unpaid bills.

Stuart Arnott, the borough’s public health manager, confirmed the restaurant had been issued with a Food Hygiene Emergency Prohibition Notice.

He said: “We issued the notice, which takes immediate effect, because the restaurant’s water supply has been cut off.

“The owners have agreed with the closure on a voluntary basis so court action will not be taken.

An extension of a restaurant of the same name in Egerton near Bolton, the Fence establishment opened in the former Forest Inn building more than four years ago.

The original restaurant closed earlier this year, after it was reported in The London Gazette that Campbell Crossley & Davis had been appointed liquidators.

Last year the same firm was brought in at the Fence restaurant.

Yesterday, the Cuckstool Lane eatery remained closed with copies of the Food Hygiene Emergency Prohibition Notice on display on the door and in the windows.

The restaurant’s website was deactivated and attempts to contact its owners were unsuccessful.

Mr Arnott said: “We’re now waiting for confirmation of what their future plans are for the restaurant.”

Quick ring Paul Heathcote tell him there's another cheap resturant up for grabs.
An experiment was carried out in the states on tap water after they annualised it they found cardboard copper zinc and traces of tampax in the recycled tap water.Even though this experiment was done in the states i can say we do use a percentage of recycled waste water so ever since i have only drank bottled water and only used the tap water for washing i can say after 6wks my mood was uplifted i feel hornier and more focused on life and the inside of the kettle looks really clean ever since i stopped using tampon tap water for brew's.
Maybe it a good idea to cut all our water off to improve to health and well being of all of us.

All water is recycled, there is no more water now than when the planet was created or formed and bottled water is often more biologically active than tap water.

water treatment works that pull from rivers generally have poorer water quality, mainly due to the fact that treated wastewater is discharged into the same rivers......luckily here in the north west none of our water comes from rivers, most comesfrom resevoirs that collect rain water

No, peely; though the claim depends upon what one counts as new. Water which falls as rain can give one a feeling of refreshment - and for that reason I enjoy walking in rain, even without waterproof attire. Yet the scientific texts tell us that rain is water which has formerly evaporated from rivers, seas, et cetera and so is not new water. There is much technical material to add here if only I was writing for that audience which enjoys it.

There has to be less water available because there are more people on the planet who, in effect, will consume more water. And, for example, we use water to mix concrete etc, so I have to disagree with you. There will be less water, in the form we know it, now than when earth was formed.

Yes, the water used to hydrate concrete isn't drinkable but it is recoverable. Water of hydration is a known form, though perhaps so only to our latest GCSE achievers - last year's students have forgotten.

Sure it won't take long before it becomes another money laundering, sorry Curry restaurant that will thrive where all others have failed.
