A DRINK driver said not to have stopped for police when they put their blue lights on, was fined £300 by Burnley magistrates.
The court heard how Steven Wight, 27, of Catlow Close, Fence, was said to have been ‘caught up with’ when he turned into his drive.
Wight told the Bench he did stop as soon as he noticed the lights behind him and went and spoke to the officers.
The defendant gave a sample showing 101 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood. The legal limit is 80.
Wight admitted driving with excess alcohol at Fence, last November 24.
He must also pay £85 costs and a £30 victim surcharge.
