EARBY residents are being invited to meet the mayor at a surgery on Saturday.

The Mayor of Pendle, Coun Allan Buck, is inviting residents to go meet him at New Road Community Centre between 10am and noon.

Coun Buck wants to give all people the chance to have their say on issues that matter to them.

He said: "Previously the mayor's surgeries have all been held in Nelson Town Hall.

"But I am getting out and about for most of them, to visit all parts of Pendle and to make it easier for residents to come to me to raise their issues."

This surgery is the latest in a number to be held throughout the borough.

Appointments are not necessary, but it may be advisable to contact the Mayor's Secretary in advance on 661633.
