James Kevin McDowell, 46, of Rostle Top Road, Earby, was banned from driving for two years and fined £400 with £75 costs by Blackburn magistrates after pleading guilty to driving with excess alcohol.
The court heard that McDowell, who gave a reading of 94 against the legal limit of 35, was found asleep in his car in Clitheroe Road, West Bradford.
Liz Parker, defending, said McDowell was driving home when he realised he wasn't fit to drive and pulled over to sleep it off.
