Colne Italian restaurant blaze investigated

A POPULAR Italian restaurant has been severely damaged by fire.
Fire crews were called to the blaze above Giorgio's in Albert Street, Colne, at 11.30pm last night.
Neighbours called for help after seeing smoke, and it was unclear for some time whether the space above the restaurant was occupied.
Investigations revealed it was an unused attic area and although flames quickly spread to the ceiling of the restaurant, nobody was injured.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
