A MAN was taken to hospital with smoke inhalation after a fire broke out in the kitchen of his Colne home.
The man walked out of the house in Barrowford Road in a distressed state after discovering the fire, according to the ambulance service.
He was taken to Burnley General Hospital for a check-up following the fire at 6pm yesterday.
The kitchen, landing area and three first-floor rooms were left damaged.
