A FORMER professional boxer from Colne was seen stripped virtually naked and shouting abuse at passing cars.
Blackburn magistrates heard Stuart McFayden blamed a combination of strong pain killers and alcohol on his bizarre behaviour.
McFayden, 36, of Keighley Road, Colne, pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly in Keighley Road. He was fined £40 with £85 costs and £30 victim surcharge.
Ben Leech, defending, said his client was embarrassed about his behaviour and offered his apologies.
"He recently had reconstructive surgery on his knee and was on strong pain relief," said Mr Leech. "Out of the blue a friend came round with a bottle of gin and some beer. He perhaps shouldn't have drunk with the medication he was on."
Mr Leech said when he was woken in a police cell the following morning McFayden's clothes were wet.
"He was told he had been messing around in a puddle at the side of the road but he can't remember that," said Mr Leech.
