AN ARSON investigation has been launched after firefighters were called out to a car fire this morning.
Two fire engines from Colne Fire Station were called out to the incident which happened in Stanley Street, Colne, just after 12.45am.
Firefighters used two hosereel jets to extinguish the fire, which is thought to have been started deliberately. A fire service spokesman confirmed police have been notified.
No arrest has been made. No-one was injured in the incident.
A fire service spokesman posted on Twitter: "At 0.46am this morning @ColneFire dealt with a car on fire at the roadside on Stanley Street, Colne. Firefighters used two hosereel jets to extinguish the fire, which was started deliberately. There were no casualties. Police notified of the suspected arson."
