A 22-YEAR-OLD wanted man has been arrested on suspicion of an alleged assault at a house party on New Year's Day.
Jesse Rivers, 22, was found in a Blackburn nightclub in the early hours of Sunday morning after police issued a wanted appeal searching for him at the end of last month.
Officers said they wanted to speak to him after a man from Colne was allegedly punched at a house party in Hargrove Avenue in Padiham in the early hours of Monday, January 1.
The victim, 28, was left with a fractured jaw following the incident.
Rivers is from Blackburn and is also known to have links with Blackpool.
Police said Rivers has now been arrested on suspicion of assault.
A police spokesman said: "Rivers was found in a Blackburn nightclub in the early hours of Sunday morning and subsequently arrested on suspicion of assault. "
He is now being held in custody.
