A BID proposal will be considered for a town centre this week.
A group of local business owners and managers in Colne are leading a project to develop a Business Improvement District (BID) for the town.
A Business Improvement District (BID) is a business-led initiative which brings together local businesses together to make decisions and take action to improve their trading environment.
Businesses said they are leading the new initiative because they are ‘determined’ to ensure Colne thrives now and in the future where people will come for their shopping and services, as well as entertainment and leisure.
Colne BID’s proposal will be presented by the Colne BID project manager, Chris Kolek, at the meeting of the Colne Town Centre Forum and will include a consultation on the draft Colne BID proposal.
It will be held at Colne Town Hall, on Albert Road, tomorrow from 5.30pm.
