IT maybe cold but its not too cold for some as two East Lancashire farmers pose in the nude for a charity calendar.

George Mills, from Ramsbottom and Eleanor Moore, from Colne have appeared in the 2018 editions of The Farmers and The Lady Farmers calendars.

The pair, who will feature as ‘Mr June’ and ‘Miss April’ bared all for the calendar which is manufactured at Painsford Manor Farm in Ashprington, Devon.

Created by Nicola de Pulford, of Painsford ManorFarm, said the nationally available calendar has been produced every year since 1999.

Mrs de Pulford said: “I started the calendars when I was appalled by the hardship caused to farmers by the ban on the export of British beef and the foot and mouth outbreak two years later.

“To highlight their plight I published the naked farmers calendar with a view to put a smile on people’s faces.

“It was one of the first of its kind and has remained a best seller ever since.”

The calendars have raised money for the Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution, which supports farmers across the country who are struggling financially.

For the past three years cash made by the sales has been donated to Help for Heroes.

Mrs de Pulford said: “As always I was made extremely welcome when I came to Lancashire to photograph the amazing models.”
