CHILDREN are thriving at a 'outstanding' Foulridge nursery, inspectors said.
Lakeview Children's Nursery received the top grade after a visit from education watchdog Ofsted.
The Skipton Road nursery has 158 children on its roll.
Inspector Stephanie Davies said the owner and manager value their staff immensely.
She said: "Staff share the owner's superb enthusiasm and passion. This has had a significant impact on learning outcomes for children.
"All children are thriving. The exceptionally well-planned indoor and outdoor environment ignites their
appetite for learning.
"The management and staff have an impressive determination to support parents to gain a deeper understanding of their children's learning.
"They share their expertise with parents in a wide variety of ways to help them to precisely guide their children's learning at home.
"Staff are superb role models and provide children with clear and consistent reminders and explanations throughout the day.
"Children's behaviour is exemplary."
