POLICE are appealing for information following a robbery at a petrol station in Colne.
The incident occurred at around 2.15am on May 9, at the BP garage on Burnley Road.
Two offenders entered the petrol station and threatened a member of staff with knives.
One of the offenders attempted to open the till but was unable to do so. The member of staff was then forced to do it.
The offenders made off with around £100 in cash and around £350 worth of cigarettes.
Detectives have now released CCTV images of two men they would like to trace in connection with the incident.
Detective Constable Shaun Juriansz, of Burnley Police, said: “This was a terrifying ordeal for a member of staff who was simply going about their work.
“They have been left understandably shaken and we are keen to trace those who committed this crime.
“We would urge anyone with information about it to get in contact with us. In particular, we would like to speak to the men pictured.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101, quoting log number EG1602706.
