A PENSIONER has been cut out of a car after it crashed and landed on its roof.

The incident happened on School Lane n Colne at 2.45am this morning and the 69-year-old man has been taken to hospital.

Two fire engines from Colne Station attended the single-vehicle crash and worked with paramedics to cut the man from the vehicle.

He was placed on a long board before being taken to Airedale General Hospital by land ambulance.

His injuries are not thought to be serious.

A police spokesman said it is believed the man lost control of the car and no other vehicles were involved.
