Burst water main leaves part of Colne with no water
AROUND 150 properties are currently without water in an area of Colne, according to United Utilities.
Engineers were alerted to Parker Street to reports of a burst cast iron water main at around 10.50am this morning.
Around 40 calls were made to United Utilities from people saying they had either no water or just a trickle.
However, the water company said numbers affected were higher.
A spokesperson apologised for the trouble and added: "Repairs are almost complete and things should be back to normal within the next couple of hours.”
