A GROUP which was set up to protect the green edge of Colne is calling public meetings to try and fight off plans to build 360 houses.
The Lidgett & Beyond campaign group will be holding meetings on January 10th to inform residents about the planning application and what they plan to do next.

Two planning applications were submitted to Pendle Council on December 18 from Developers Junction Property Limited seeking approval to build 90 homes in one application, and 270 houses in the other.
If approved, the applications will see houses built on land between Windermere Avenue, Skipton Old Road and Castle Road.
Lidgett & Beyond is holding two public meetings for all signed-up members on Saturday, January 10 at Colne Cricket Club. The first from 12pm to 2pm and the second from 6pm to 9pm.
The application is set to go before Colne committee on Thursday February 5 at 7pm.
