Cash plea to fund Brierfield footpaths

A request has been made for funding for new cycleways and foothpaths in Brierfield.
A £2,000 bid was made by Tricia Wilson, on behalf of Engineering and Special Projects in Nelson, to the Barrowford and Western Parishes Committee.
The move is part of a wider scheme to upgrade and improve the footpaths in Barrowford Park for multi-use.
The total cost of the scheme is estimated at £45,000.
