PENDLE Martial Arts Academy, in Brierfield, will host an open ground fighting competition at its dojo from 10am on Sunday, May 18.
The competition is open to boys and girls in different weight categories, and between the ages of five and 15 years.
Competitors pay £8 to be judged on their ground fighting skills, with the overall winner being awarded a trophy at the Colne Road venue.
Derek Whittaker, organiser of the event and a fourth Dan Black Belt in jujitsu, said: "This is an ideal opportunity for youngsters from all martial arts disciplines to come along and try to win either a trophy for the best overall ground fighter, or to win gold, silver or bronze medals for their weight class.
"In addition, it gives the kids the chance to look at our dojo and possibly join the Pendle Martial Arts Academy."
