Car overturns in Brierfield

A MOTHER and her five-year-old daughter had a lucky escape when their car overturned after colliding with a parked car in Brierfield.

The incident happened on Burnley Road shortly after 1.30pm today close to Dixy Chicken.

Police were forced to close off Burnley Road, Brierfield, and Colne Road, Reedley, between Windermere Avenue and Halifax Road for around an hour.

The 32-year-old driver and her daughter, from Burnley, were taken to Burnley General Hospital after escaping from their red Mercedes.

I hope they are both ok,
how can a parked car be at fault?

jaffa90 i think there was a hint of sarcasm in (living the end times in BB1) post but there again have you seen the amount of for sale cars parked along this stretch of road they would put motorpoint to shame.
hope mother and child suffered no more than a few minor scrapes .
