FOOTBALL trading card collectors have been asked to help support Brierfield Celtic FC.

The grassroots team is sat third in the Match Attax ‘Club Together’ leaderboard and are in with a chance of winning a training day with Manchester City star Kevin De-Bruyne and a Premier League manager, a week-long adventure holiday, team kits and training equipment.

The club has called on the community to start collecting the codes in the packets of Match Attax Extra cards.

By registering the codes online, collectors will help the team rise up the league table and aim for the top prize.

Rod Pearson, marketing director for Topps, which publishes the cards, said: “We are dedicated to giving budding football teams across the country the chance to benefit from our support and from the expertise of heroes and legends on the pitch.

“Club Together is Topps’ way of thanking the fans for their continued support throughout the year.

“This is our third year running Club Together and it’s really heart-warming to see the smiles on the children’s faces when they meet their football idols.

“There has never been a better time for children and Match Attax collectors to club together."
