SPORTY youngsters at a Brierfield school raised the bar for Pendleside Hospice and Barnardo’s.
Around £150 each was raised by pupils at Holy Trinity Primary for the two good causes.
Hospice fundraiser Vikki Haydock was invited to an assembly at the school to receive a cheque from head boy Joshua Butterworth and head girl Jennifer Brown.
Vikki said: “It was really nice to speak to the children about the hospice and the work we do and it’s great to see the results of their efforts.
“It’s really important children understand what the hospice does and how every bit of money they help to raise can help someone in their local community.”
