A MOTORIST who knocked down two pedestrians in Barrowford has been fined by Burnley magistrates.

Sheila Mulrooney, 65, was turning right from Gisburn Road into Nora Street when the pair ended up on her bonnet, the court was told.

Prosecutors said Mulrooney cut the corner and had not seen the pedestrians before the collision on October 22 last year.

The pedestrians suffered slight injuries and the driver’s Ford Focus was damaged, the court heard.

Mulrooney, of Oaklands Avenue, Barrowford, admitted driving without due care and attention.

She was fined £30 and four penalty points were imposed on her driving licence.
