Pensioner treated after Barrowford house fire

A PENSIONER was treated for smoke inhalation following a fire at a home in Barrowford this afternoon.
The woman, said to be in her 60s, was given first aid at the property in Higher Causeway after a fire broke out in an airing cupboard.
Firefighters attended the scene around 1.30pm.
Officers said the fire caused severe damage to the airing cupboard and its contents and smoke damage to several rooms and the landing.
It is believed that the fire was started by an electrical fault.
