ENVIRONMENTALLY-minded volunteers are needed to help resurface a path this weekend.
In the latest of five projects organised by Pendle Council’s Park Keepers to spruce up woodlands and rivers in the area, a group will work on the path through Barrowford Park on Saturday.
Outreach Officer Julie Hibbert said: ”We’re so grateful to anyone who can spare a little bit of time to come and help us with these improvements that will benefit anyone who visits our parks this summer.
“What you’ll get in return is a friendly welcome, a little bit of exercise and some chat. And for anyone who’s currently looking for work, volunteering experience looks great on a CV.”
Meet at the pavilion at 10am, dressed for the weather and outdoors work, with a pair of gloves. For more information, call 01282 661572.
