YOUNGSTERS got the chance to get up close to birds of prey at a special Easter event.

A display of eagles, hawks, falcons, owls and vultures took place on Easter Monday at Thornton Hall Farm, near Barnolds-wick.

Bosses said some of the UK’s largest free-flying birds available in public demonstrations were on show, with hundreds of people visiting.

As well as being able to watch the shows, visitors were able to hold and stroke some of the birds.

Lamb and calf-feeding also took place.
